Radiothon raises $ 18,000 to help critically ill newborns

FREE HOLD – A radiothon helping critically ill newborns raised $ 18,033, with the help of a generous audience and sponsors.

The 4th Annual Hutchins HVAC Powered Mistletoe Rock Radiothon was hosted by 107.1 The Boss and Ashley Homestore on December 16-17 at the Freehold Raceway Mall.

The money will benefit Michael’s Feat, a non-profit organization that provides comfort and support to families caring for critically ill newborns. They provide families in need with direct financial support, travel bags full of hospital supplies, furniture and medical equipment, meals, gas cards and, if necessary, health care. respite and support in case of bereavement. The radiothon is in its fourth year and has raised a total of $ 81,838 for this organization.

The fundraiser was hosted by The Boss’s Robby and Rochelle in the Morning, assisted by Ross Brittan on Thursday morning, then Michele Amabile and Van Dusen, the station reported.

As the radiothon took place during the holiday shopping season, many shoppers stopped by the CentraState Live Broadcast Center outside the mall. Listeners also donated to the AJ Perri Phone Bank. The New Jersey Natural Gas Online Auction and Donation Center featured items such as signed artist memorabilia, a personalized Stone Pony leather jacket, and a private box for the Monmouth University Hawks.

Recurring monthly donors were nicknamed “Michael’s Feat Monarchs” and received a commemorative butterfly t-shirt as a gift, made possible by insurance agency Puharic & Associates. All Radiothon donors were eligible to win a “Brilliant Swag Bag” comprising over $ 4,500 in prizes, courtesy of Brilliant Environmental Services.

The 4th Annual Mistletoe Rock Radiothon was also made possible by Irwin Lincoln and Irwin Mazda, Lombardi Plastic Surgery Center, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 400, Chocolate Carousel and Four Boys Ice Cream.
